Project Description

A food & beverage client bought and remodeled an existing ice cream manufacturing facility in Dunkirk, NY, to expand their current capacity. DSC acted as the onsite project management, construction management, and design/build contractor and self-performed millwright, steel, and concrete work.

Major improvements to the facility totaled approximately $100 million and included updates to the loading docks, internal improvements, access improvements, parking improvements, and a new electrical substation.

The renovation expanded their current manufacturing capacity to 200 million gallons. It also diversified their ability to support customers geographically to help meet future demand and added an important footprint on the East Coast.
