Project Description

Dean Snyder Construction and ATURA architecture design-built a new state-of-the-art testing facility for AGCO of Jackson, MN. The agricultural equipment manufacturer can now test their products to be field-ready right inside their facility.

Included in the project is a jounce test area, rocking a tractor side to side to test it enduring the drive across a rough field.  The speed and intensity of the rocking are varied throughout the test to simulate farming conditions from everyday to extreme. All hoses, fittings and electrical connections are monitored throughout the test to verify there are no leaks or electrical issues.

The project was a 1,984 square-foot addition with conventional steel framing and precast wall panels as well as a remodel of 1,200 square-feet of the existing facility. A existing load bearing wall was removed to join the addition and the remodel into one large room. Construction of the new testing facility was completed on time with only 12 weeks to fully design and construct the building.
