Wanting to relocate their Clear Lake dealership to a new spot, the Pritchard family along with Dean Snyder Construction and ATURA architecture broke ground in fall 2013 on a new 32,142 square-foot Ford dealership. The new pre-engineered steel building is located right outside Clear Lake near I35 and US Hwy 18/122 and is now owned by Billion Auto Group.
The facility features an interactive showroom, reception, lounge, and new to the industry – a car delivery room that holds two cars and provides the ultimate customizing experience. The front façade is 28’tall with the showroom having 20’ glass walls. The service department located in the back of the facility has room for eight cars and trucks, as well as a detailing bay that holds four vehicles and a car wash. The 116,660 square-foot parking lot allows for an increased inventory of new Ford products, commercial trucks, and pre-owned vehicles.
A portion of the administration area on the 2nd floor is dedicated to the distribution of the new Metro Link bus, a mid-size transit bus manufactured by Winnebago Industries. This is operated by Metro Worldwide, a division of the Pritchard Family Auto. Also included in the new facility is a 4,100 square-foot “Quick Lane” area, open to provide oil changes and other routine vehicle maintenance services to all makes and models.
