On Monday, October 4, Fareway Stores & DSC broke ground in Ogden, Iowa, a new 8,000 SF “neighborhood” size store. A fire had destroyed their previous only grocery store two years ago. A record amount of people from the community showed up at the ground breaking in their support of having Fareway come to their town. Site work will begin immediately, with a scheduled opening in late 2022.
This is the 3rd neighborhood sized Fareway we are working on this year. Colfax was completed earlier this spring, and Rockwell City is currently under construction. A typical new Fareway store is about 21,000 SF for comparison.
